Cynthia "Fancy" Fernandez is a female tattoo artist in Chandler, Arizona. She has been tattooing in Arizona since 2018. Cynthia graduated from ASU with a Bachelor’s degree in Art Studies in 2012.
Fancy describes her journey into becoming a tattoo artist as a happy accident. At a time in her life when she was going through several major life changes, she was getting tattooed frequently with pieces that commemorated her rites of passage. In doing so, she was introduced to the world of becoming a tattoo artist herself. Through grit and perseverance, Fancy worked herself free from corporate America and now operates her private studio independently.
At this stage in her career, Fancy is open to a variety of tattoo genres, though she does have preferences for making the following types of tattoos:
- fineline tattoos
- pops of color
- floral bouquets
- script/lettering tattoos, including replicating handwriting
- geometric "sacred geometry" patterns
- ornamental tattoos
- minimalist tattoos
- funny/punny tattoos
Most importantly, genuine human connections are the essence of tattooing for Fancy. Her attention to detail and care for craftsmanship make her artistic style a great fit for even the most particular people with intricate requests.
